The Science of Chemistry
Everything is covered in Chemistry, literally. Any and everything is composed of a chemical structure in either a solid, liquid or gas. Each living thing is composed of a handful of different molecules, atoms and DNA/RNA properties. How these differing properties interact with each other or stand alone affect every thing living or nonliving.
In the professional areas, every science based field and medical professions will need Chemistry. Anyone who will do research, manufacture or create products, run lab tests, and even jobs in the service industry require a Chemistry background.
How does this affect the average person? Wouldn't you like to know, before you start doing major spring cleaning, which chemicals you should never mix? How about when starting your garden, don't you want to know how to figure out the soil balance for optimal results? Suppose a loved one gets into a chemical and needs medical help, don't you want to know what to do before help arrives? Even something as simple as an over the counter pregnancy test or using over the counter and prescription drugs can be helped with a bit of knowledge of Chemistry.
Since Chemisty is such a great topic with many avenues that cannot possible be covered on this site, I will leave you with the following resources.
