This is the guide for Vice City Stories for the Play Station 2, not the PSP. This contains spoilers as well as tips on how to get through the mission.
Jive Drive (5/10 difficulty)
Before you even start this mission, load up on your ammo, particularly the smg, shotgun and get armor. You will really appreciate it if you have finished the vigilante mission for the extra armor protection.
Lance is back in town and trouble seems to be his middle name. When you arrive at the airport, you are confronted by gangs of Cholos who have beef with Lance. You need to protect your brother. Remember Just Business and Reuniting The Families in San Andreas? This is basically the same thing. Lance drives like a maniac while you have a weapon with unlimited ammo and manual aim shooting. You need to shoot off everyone shooting at you before the car takes too much damage and blows up. Aim first at the ones shooting you and then take out the vehicle.
After a series of jumps, the car is going to take some natural damage, but the very last jump does the car in and a cut scene will take place as the car explodes. Vic and Lance make it out alive, but still being attacked. Lance now has a health meter. Keep him alive as he is helpless in killing off the attackers. Kill them all and find another vehicle to take Lance to his hotel.
Reward: Mission Passed. He's your brother, don't expect payment or help from him. You get a call from Umberto who has found out you are now running Marty's gang. He wants to meet up with you and his missions are now open.
Hose The Hoes (4/10 difficulty)
The brothel is on fire and the hookers are trapped. Louise needs your help in putting out the fire and getting the arsonist responsible before the help is killed (they will have a health meter). Find the fire truck and put out the cars on fire which is blocking your access to the building. Don't get too close to the burning cars or they will blow up your truck. Put out the building fire before the hookers die. Then Louise will point out the arsonist. Chase him down while avoiding his moltov cocktails and kill him.
Reward: $300 and a Sentinel in the area where the arsonist was killed.
Robbing The Cradle (4/10 difficulty)
A social worker has stopped by to visit Louise and threatened to take away her baby, Mary-Beth, unless she could show him a good time. She was upset and called some muscle to rub him out, but with a calm head and encouragement from Vic, she has changed her mind and needs him to stop the men from killing the social worker, but to send a message to him to leave Louise and the baby alone.
This mission is more about killing the hitmen and scaring the social worker. Do not kill the social worker. He has a health meter, so it is in your best interest to kill the hitmen as quickly as possible. Once you blow up the hitmen's truck, kill those that got out. Now catch up with the social worker to give him the warning. Ram him and spin him out, but don't kill him. When he runs out of the truck, he has gotten the message. You are now done with Louise.
Reward: $300. Umberto is a new boss who has heard you have taken over Marty's gang and he wants to see you as soon as possible.
The Audition (3/10 difficulty)
Lance is up to trouble again. He has been promised big money for doing nothing and wants in. Forbes is waiting for them at the Burger Bar. You have about a minute to get there. As Forbes is talking, the place is being robbed. Kill the robbers. When you step out, the cops think you are the one that held up the place and the heat is on you. Get to a Pay N' Spray to lose your stars and head for the Port Authority where you need to use the provided Sanchez, climb the stairs and jump over to the next roof. Go down the stairs and kill the guards around the vehicle you need. Get in and use the ramp to get out.
Reward: $750 + Civil Asset Forfeiture Impound is now open.
Nice Package (3/10 difficulty)
Go to Little Havana to meet Umberto at his house. He has a package he needs you to get and then to deliver it for him. He assigns Juan to ride shotgun with you. Use the Cuban Hermes parked in the front to get to the package. The problem, there are more people after this package and it ends in a contest of who can get there first. Pull up your map and find the quickest route. Don't even worry about getting involved in a drive-by which could get you more heat than you can handle. If you are quick and can handle the trip with wanted stars, by all means blow away your competition, just don't get so close your own car blows up. When you get to the package, if the others are still alive, chances are one of them will already have it or if you got it they will continue chasing you. Quickly get back in the car if you have the package and head for the port dodging the other cars. If not, chase the one that does and block it so they will get out of the car and run them down and take it. Then head to the port.
Reward: $750
Balls (4/10 difficulty)
Umberto has this weird obsession with balls. Anyway, some of the Cholos are causing trouble and he needs Vic to accompany his allies to take care of business while he hits on his lesbian accountant. The Cholos are scattered about Little Haiti, some on foot and others in cars. You need to take care of all of them while protecting your guys. Get a Cabbie which is a sturdy car and won't flip over too easily or catch fire too quickly and it has the 4-doors you will need. Have your armor and an automatic weapon like the SMG. Take care of the cars by driving really close to them and quickly blast them and drive off the moment you see their car going into flames (or you will blow up as well). The ones on foot are easy enough to run over. When you get the last of them, drive back to Umberto's.
Reward: $800
Papi Don't Screech (3/10 difficulty)
Not only does Umberto have an obsession with balls, he has some serious emotional issues. His father, Alberto, is at the stadium. Cholos have threatened to kill him and Umberto is hysterical. Calm-headed Vic suggests someone just pick him up. His other goons suggested that earlier, but Umberto wouldn't hear of it from guys without balls and wants Vic to do it.
Head to the stadium in Umberto's car and pick up his father. That is the easy part. No one is paying attention. As soon as he is in the car, there will be people on the look out for him. Alberto is a very nervous person and will have a heart attack if you drive too quickly, so take it easy. However, you have a limited time to get him there, so you need to be somewhat quick about it. He will also die after a few shots are made at him, so you MUST avoid the Cholo gang. Pull up your map to plot your route carefully. I strongly suggest you go on the far west side along the beach. Keep heading south behind the safe house. Go towards the bridge where you find the armor and keep heading south until you are about a block away from where he works. There is an opening. Carefully watch for the cars patrolling and wait for them to go in a direction where they won't see you and cut through the driveway and take him to work.
Reward: $1000
Havana Good Time (4/10 difficulty)
Umberto is working up his gang with the speech on how men have balls. For some reason this is more than enough motivation to get his guys wanting to risk getting killed instead of listening to him any more. Anyway, Vic needs to take the gang to the next location, a warehouse where Umberto wants them to plant a little gift, a pinata filled with explosives. Armor and an AK-47 will come in handy and grenades If you have access to the M249, that will be even better. As you drive towards the warehouse, stop at a distance where you can safely throw the grenades at the 5 guards and kill them all. Umberto's men will then enter the building and you must protect them. Look at the red blips on your radar so you can see the Cholos coming. Kill them before they kill your men, but be quick about it. Some will pull up in cars and others on foot. If they kill even one of your men you fail. Near the end, it will seem as they are coming from all directions. Look for the health and armor icon inside in case you need it.
After the men get the present ready, they will drive off and leave you to fend off the other Cholos coming after you. Shoot enough of them so you can make it safely to the last van (be careful with it because it catches fire easily). Slightly southeast of the warehouse is a ditch area (there is a health icon in there) where you can safely avoid most of the cars. Get to the end of the ditch and quickly head to Umberto's.
Reward: $1500 and you get a Cuban-style outfit.
Money For Nothing (4/10 difficulty)
The Lance of this game sort of explains why he turned out to be such a risk to Tommy Vercetti in Vice City and ends up dead. Surprisingly his brother has not killed him himself. Anyway, in the Audition, you were introduced to Forbes who is quite the sleaze ball. He needs you to play decoy so he can distract the cops who are staking out the warehouse. He needs the cops to think you are him. Take the decoy van and head south and you will activate a 3 star wanted level. You need to drive safely and carefully south while Lance and Forbes drive north until they are in the clear. You will have a meter and contact from Lance to let you know how they are doing.
The decoy van is hard to handle and can blow up easily, so be sure not to take any risky moves. Don't allow your van to be cornered while you head south. Head towards the main strip near your safe house. That will give you plenty of room to drive around the cops trying to do a PIT maneuver on you. Don't bother shooting back at them because that will increase your wanted level and cause more trouble for you. Head towards the dock area and drive around. Enter the Pay N Spray by the docks and by the time you reach it, Lance and Forbes should almost be in a safe spot. If you timed it right, by the time your van is finished, so is the mission.
Reward: $1,500 and you will get a message from Lance telling him to meet him at Hyman Memorial Stadium.
Caught As An Act (2/10 difficulty)
Lance is very upset. He just figured out Forbes is an undercover cop and is about ready to bust them. He tells Vic they need to take care of this situation. There is a short standoff and Forbes escapes with all your money in the trunk of his car. As Forbes drives, most of the money spills out the back and people come rushing in the streets to collect your money. Feel free to run them over. Do a PIT maneuver to his car. When you pass by the fire station, use the fire truck which will make this task easier, just be quick about it before he gets too far.
Reward: $750 and an announcement on the news about the money being distributed on the streets.
Leap And Bound (3/10 difficulty)
Now Forbes has been tied up and is being held hostage by Lance. They decide to take a chance and listen to him talk about a shipment coming in with coke and there are no bodyguards. Of course they go thinking it is an easy way to get more product. Be prepared with armor, AK-47 (or M249) and moltov cocktails if fireproof. Lance goes ahead and Vic stays at a distance with binoculars and heads towards the roof of a building to keep an eye on Lance who is attacked and kidnapped by boat. Lance needs to quickly get down, steal the nearby Comet and follow them south to the big ship on the southeast Vice Port shore. Don't lose them.
Get on the boat. You have many goons to kill before you can even rescue Lance. Follow the blip to enter the ship and get inside. Kill the men and then collect all the packages on the ship which are near the goons. Collect all packages and meet up with Lance who is safely on land and anxious to leave.
Reward: $1500
The Bum Deal (3/10 difficulty)
Why the duo decided to listen to another word out of Forbe's lying mouth is beyond me, but they take in what he says. Something big is going down at the White Stallionz Bar which is a gay bikers bar. Nothing is really going on there, but they don't take kindly to your presence. I hope you have some sort of shotgun or AK-47 on you along with armor. Kill the men inside and the ones hanging outside. Head to confront Forbes in the building, but you will find out he has escaped. He is on a motorcycle so take whatever heavy and quick vehicle is nearby and knock him off the bike and run him over. Or if you have a motorcycle do a drive-by. Head back to Lance's place.
Reward: Mission Passed
Snitch Hitch (5/10 difficulty)
Well you finally get to see why Lance and Vic turned out the way they did. While arguing, their mother comes in with a boyfriend. She is disappointed in the way they turned out and that is not how she raised them, which is true because their aunt raised them. Anyway, she needs a place to crash and Vic offers up Lance's place. Lance thinks up a convenient excuse to leave their mother and remind Vic they need to see Vic's friend. They need to get to the airport quickly. Lance tells Vic about a dealer getting out of the business and will give him the file on the big shipment. The problem is everyone is already after it.
Get to the airport before time runs out. Head to the main strip on the east and make a right turn that is just before your safe house and take it straight to the curved road going north and take a left which gets you to the airport. Go to the blip and find out others are after it and head towards the plane by going north behind the airport building. You really need armor and an AK-47 (or M249) and grenades also come in handy.
If you have a safe enough distance, throw as many of the grenades as you can to take the men out. As you approach the plane, quickly switch to the guns. Shoot everyone on sight. As Lance enters the plane, bikers will arrive. Shoot them all.
Reward: $1000
From Zero to Hero (5/10 difficulty)
Level headed Vic tells Lance he wants out of the drug business for good because it just is not a good thing to do. Lance dances an offer to him he just cannot refuse. He knows of a shipment belonging to his former boss, Jerry Martinez. He's in. Have an AK-47 with lots of ammo and armor.
You will need to kill off others after the shipment and keep Lance alive. Once that is accomplished, you will see Jerry in the hunter and there will be others in cars shooting at you as you take the nearby truck to chase Martinez. Martinez will be firing rockets at you, so carefully try to avoid them by being quick to swerve the path they come at you. By the time you reach the end of the bridge, you will have a 4-star wanted level and cops will be after you, but at least Martinez has left. Just concentrate on the road and following Lance. Don't try any fancy moves or you could easily flip or blow up. You will reach Lance's new place and end the mission.
Reward: $3,000 plus you have finally opened up the other side of the island. You can also purchase the Splitz-6 ATV and Squallo outside of the Compound safe house. You now have a new safe house, The Clymenus Suite.
