Grand Theft Auto: The Guide For San Andreas In Depth Guide For PS2
Parental Warning: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is not a game for children. The rating is MA which is meant for adults over the age of 18. The review for this game is loaded with language and suggestive words and also not meant for those under age 18. The reality is many children under the age of 18 do in fact play this game and are probably reading this review right now. That is between them and their parents. I cannot supervise children who read this review nor can I be in your living room to stop them. That is your job.
If you are a parent, at least be aware if your children are playing this game and set down boundaries for them. If you choose to let them play, make sure they know the difference between fantasy and reality, most children do understand the difference and would never do these things in real life. A handful of disturbed individuals, regardless of age, may be unduly influenced by this game. If you are responsible for such a person, please make sure they are not playing it.
Grand Theft Auto is a game that glorifies killing and general bad behavior including drugs and illicit sex. It is a game for sick degenerates who think it is funny, myself included. All of the Rockstar series of the Grand Theft Auto Games are rated MA.
If you do not want to hear the spoilers, go to the first GTA San Andreas strategy guide. If you don't mind the spoilers and it is your first time playing it, you may want to check out the first guide which tells you about the controls and other helpful basics.
This is still a work in project. I am writing this report as I am playing it the 10th time.
Side Missions Part Four
Once you have completed Green Goo and Verdant Meadows is an asset, you will have access to a jet pack. That will come in handy for the side mission of getting horseshoes. While you are at this point, you may as well get the rest of these side missions out of the way if you are going for 100%.
50 Horseshoes
Wait until you finish the mission Green Goo where you will have access to the jet pack. Some of these horseshoes are in places you can't just climb and get. Use this map to find them all. When you find them all, you will get weapons at Five Dragons casino.
Property
Finally, the last of the properties are available to buy once you have finished Flight School and get a call from Woozie. It is part of 100%, but won't stop you from finishing the game if you decide not to buy. If money is tight, there are casinos that can help you along. Just don't go broke because these people will try to kill you until you repay the debt.
- Old Venturas Strip, $6,000
- Creek, $10,000
- The Clown's Pocket, $6,000
- The Camel's Toe, $6,000
- Pirates in Men's Pants, $6,000
- Whitewood Estates, $30,000, Two Car Garage

- Rockshore West, $20,000, Two Car Garage
- Pilson Intersection, $50,000, Three Car Garage
Bike School
Required for 100%, but won't prevent you from finishing the game. There are 6 tests to pass.
All Bronze finish will get you a Freeway. All Silver finish will get you a FCR-900. All Gold finish will get you a NRG-500.
- The 360 - Hold square and X while turning in a circle. To get gold, quickly do this and land exactly in your starting position.
- The 180 - Go forward as quickly as possible then hit the hand brake, turn around and come back. Try to park perfectly.
- The Wheelie - Start going into a wheelie just before you get to the cones and then park perfectly.
- Jump and Stop - Use the ramp to jump and land in the right spot.
- The Stoppie - Start the stoppie before you get to the cones, maintain your balance and park correctly.
- Jump and Stoppie - Drive as fast as possible, jump and do a stoppie, maintain balance and park straight.
Boating School
Required for 100%, but won't prevent you from finishing the game. There are 5 tests to pass.
All Bronze finish will get you a Marquis. All Silver finish will get you a Squallo. All Gold finish will get you a Jetmax.
- Basic Seamanship - stop inside the buoys within ten seconds and take no damage. Speed up until the timer reaches 6 seconds and press and hold the square button until you stop.
- Plot A Course - complete the course within 35 seconds without damage. Go through the middle of the buoys without hitting them. First person view makes it easy.
- Fresh Slalom - complete in less than 80 seconds without damage. First person view is easier.
- Flying Fish - back up your boat and speed towards the ramp and fly further than 67 meters while landing inside the buoys. Tapping X will help you fly further once in the air.
- Land, Sea and Air - finish this course in 2:10 without damage. Easy in first person view.
Below The Belt Gym (difficulty 1/10)
Required for 100%, but won't prevent you from finishing the game. Beat up the instructor and CJ will learn to do dirty street fighting.
Arena Events
In the Las Venturas area arena, near the motorcycle school, there are two events which take place on certain days. These are optional missions, but part of the 100%, so if you don't care about getting 100%, not doing these will not effect your finishing the game.
Dirt Track (difficulty 4/10)
Mondays and Wednesdays this one is open.
This is just like 8 track, but on a Sanchez. Easier than 8 Track because the Sanchez handles better and the crashes are easier to avoid, just don't hit your bike against the walls too often or it will cause your bike to catch fire. You will be rewarded with $25000 and the BF Injection.
Kickstart (difficulty 3/10)
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday-Sunday this mission is open.
You need to beat the high score by getting 26 or more. In order to do it, use your bike to hit the different coulored lights. The greens are worth 1 point. The ambers are worth 2 points. The reds are worth 3 points. Go for the easy greens first if you are fast to collect at least 12 points. There are two buses with ramps going up to them. Hit the amber ones on each for 4 points and if you are careful, try for the two red ones by crossing the planks for another 6 points. If the red ones past the bus are too difficult, go for the 2 wooden loops with amber lights for 4 points. On one far corner between the two wooden loops, there are two big blocks, with planks leading up to them. Get that first amber one for 2 points and the red at the top for 3. By the time is up, if you have gotten most of these, you should have enough points to pass and get the reward of a Dune parked outside the arena.
Ammu-Nation Challenge (difficulty 3/10)
While the Ammu-Nation Challenge is technically open as soon as you do the Doberman mission, it is pointless to do until Woozie calls you to visit him in his casino because only then will all 12 levels be available. This is not like the taxi or the train mission where you can pick up where you left off. If you fail the mission at any point or do the first set of missions and come back, you will have to start all over from level one.
You will be given 4 weapons - Pistol, SMG, Shotgun and AK-47. Each weapon have 3 tests - shooting the static target at 3 different points, shooting the target moving towards you 3 times, and all shooters in the booths trying to get 20 target hits at the one target moving across the room.
Hint: This is all about practicing your aim. The first two are very easy if you have practiced shooting a bit. The second two require you NEVER take your finger off the trigger while you aim. In the moment you take your finger off, your opponents will have amply time to catch up and beat your score.
Reward: Nothing really. It counts towards 100%. If you don't have skills in these weapons, it helps you increase them a bit. Aside from that, nothing.
Burger Shot Courier Challenge
The Burger Shot in Redsands has a delivery bike waiting for you to complete the four levels of deliveries around the Las Venturas area.
Reward: Becomes an asset worth $2000 pick ups.
Girl Friend
Barbara is a divorced cop with two kids. You will find her just outside the police station in the town of El Quebrados. CJ can buy a house nearby. She wants a man with 50% or more fat and a high sex appeal (if you got all the oysters by now, you could date any of the women regardless of how you look and they will all ask you in for coffee after a good date.) You will find her between 16:00-6:00 at the police station. She likes to eat at a truck stop diner just a short distance southwest of El Quebrados. If she wants to dance, you may want to reload as both clubs are far away in Las Venturas or the one in San Fierro, unless you have a helicopter with you. On driving dates, she likes very slow speeds, but not too slow. By dating her, you get to keep your weapons when you go to jail. If you start a new game after you have dated her, you still will not lose your weapons when you get arrested. At 50% you'll get the keys to her Ranger. At 100% you'll get a cop outfit, but it won't give you a safe pass in sensitive areas.
You Have A Friend
Woozie has been a good friend to you from the time you first met him at the races in Los Santos. Now you know his secret and have his back, he is determined to make you a partner in his casino business. The only problem is the area is run by Italian mobs the Sindaccos and Fierellis who are trying to scare him out of business. He needs CJ to do damage control so Woozie can do business.
At this stage of the game, CJ should have maxed out all his skills by now if you haven't inflated them at the beginning. You should have enough practice by now that everything is much easier, albeit tricky in some cases.
There are side missions, but in this section there is a special side mission to pull of a heist of Caligula's Casino. It is not required to move the story forward, but is part of the 100%.
Now, let's start with the storyline missions.
Fender Ketchup (difficulty 1/10)
Woozie's man have caught a man plotting against him and they need CJ to take care of him and name names. The only thing I do not like about this oh so simple mission is the fact that you cannot drive the car in first person view.
He is tied to the front of your car. You need to drive like a maniac to scare him into talking without going near the freeway which would get police attention or crashing which would kill him. You also need to keep driving or he will get free.
Hint: Drive carefully over the overpass on the way to the airport. Don't stop and don't crash. When you get there, drive towards the runway and have fun. Drive as fast as possible. Do some hand brake turns. Do some donuts. Do whatever it takes to make him nervous enough to talk.
Reward: $5000 + Respect. The only thing I really regret and would trade the money and respect for is to have a first person view of the guy CJ is torturing. You find out that this person is Johnny Sindacco who is in critical condition and afraid of CJ.
Explosive Situation (difficulty 3/10)
Woozie is playing yet another game of indoor golf and winning, but CJ seems to lose with the help of Woozie's assistant. CJ talks about a plan to pull a heist with the Mafia casinos. What is needed is some good explosives. CJ needs to get to the mining area where they are available.
Strategy: Come in with armor, high skills in motorcycle and driving and any weapon in hitman. Drive in with a motorcycle which will make it easier to jump down to the bottom of the quarry. Get to the Dumper (heavy vehicle) to smash into the areas where the dynamite is located and if you can, run over the worker who will only get in your way. If you can beat the time, you are not out of the doghouse yet. Make your way up the pink marker spots where there will be guards shooting at you. Kill them after you pass the pink marker so they don't get you. When you get to the last one, go to your meeting point and you are done.
Alternative: After you are in the pit and collected all the dynamite, use the motorcycle to go up the normal path and kill the guards at the top. If you did not blow up their vehicle, use it to climb the wall. If it did, then go back down and collect the dumper and make your way back up. Use it to climb over the wall.
Reward: $7000 +Respect.
New side missions are now available - the quarry and the heist missions. Both are part of the 100%, but not required to move the story along. However, if you are going to go for it, you may as well get them out the way ASAP. BTW, if you complete the heist before you finish Saint Mark's Bistro, you will get a nasty call from the Godfather (Sindacco). If not, you will get a call of praise.
Side Missions Part Five
Quarry Missions
Required for 100%, but won't prevent you from finishing the game. There are 7 levels to pass. Must finish Explosive Situation for this to open.
- Clear 7 rocks in 3:30 minutes.
- Remove 4 sets of explosives before they go off.
- Use the dumper to kill the bad guys.
- Use the dumper to haul bodies and don't let them fall out when going down.
- A dumper full of explosives needs to be driven very carefully to the marker.
- Use the dozer to move the barrels and watch out for the train.
- Use the dumper to push, pull and dump, going up the slope backwards will help.
Reward: $10000 and it becomes an asset where you can collect up to $2000.
The Heist
After Explosive Situation, the heist missions open up. If you choose not to do these, it won't stop you from finishing the game, but it does count towards the 100%. You can always go back to it at any time if you just want to move along. No matter when you do finish the heist, you will get a call from Salvatore Leone threatening you with lines from the Godfather.
I'm not sure exactly what point the last part of the heist is cut off, but there is a way to finish all the heist missions before passing St. Mark's Bistro. If you don't get to it, then you will have to pass that final mission to finish the heist.
Architectural Espionage (difficulty 3/10)
CJ and Woozie are planning a heist and need the layout of Caligula's Casino. CJ has to get the plans and will need a camera, carefully make his way upstairs without using any weapons, create an emergency in a vent, go up the next floor and take a picture and then get out.
Hint: A camera, armor, any fast loading automatic weapon with hitman skill, and a fast motorcycle. The first part is easy to get a camera from a tourist, but if you start off with one in your inventory you can skip that part. If killing a tourist, make sure there are no cops around because you cannot enter the building while you are wanted. Go to the building, talk to the clerk who will open access upstairs. Go up one floor and find a room with old air conditioners and beat them up. An alarm will sound and people will come out. Go upstairs and take the picture and quickly switch to your weapon of choice. Crouch and kill your way to the exit, hop on the bike and go back to the casino. There's a mod shop and if you are in the right type of car you can lose the heat.
Reward: Respect.
Key To Her Heart (difficulty 2/10)
CJ is explaining the plan to Woozie in a private room and an assistant brought in the card reader from Zero. Now he needs a person to be his contact. This brings us to CJ's next girlfriend, Millie.
Strategy: Not too difficult as long as you can maintain a distance from her pink car without losing her (just like the mission Snail Trail). A silenced pistol and motorcycle of any kind will be sufficient for this mission. Follow her to the sex store and go inside to get the gimp suit (CJ pays for it and it will be in his wardrobe). Get out and continue to follow her from a distance. Park in the pink marker and you will see a man walking towards her house. Kill him and take his place then go to Millie's place. He will have his way with her and is now his girlfriend.
Note: If you have the X-rated version in play, this mission will be difficult to pass unless you know how to satisfy her because if you don't, you fail the mission.
Millie is a croupier who works at a casino you are casing. After the "Key To Her Heart" she is your girlfriend. You must date her to continue on with the heist missions, but it is not required to date her after you get the passkey. If you don't want to do the heist missions, don't bother. The heists do count towards the 100%, but won't stop you from completing the game. Millie lives in the Prickle Pine district of northern Las Venturas and can be found between 12:00-22:00. She likes the restaurant SW of where she lives. She likes driving dates with an average speed. If you show up in your special outfit, you don't even have to go anywhere. After 35%, you get the passkey. At 50% you get the keys to her Pink Club car. You already start off with the gimp suit, so no prize for 100%. Unless you like the dates, it is pointless to see her again after you get the card. As soon as you finish Key To Her Heart, it is best you get right to dating her and get it out the way.
If you collected all the oysters, just show up at the right time in the gimp suit. Two dates after Key To Her Heart and you have the passkey. Enjoy the view because this is the only time you can explore her home.
Dam And Blast (difficulty 3/10)
It seems more people are becoming aware of the plan and have joined your team, including the janitor who lives in the closet where the meetings are held. While they are trying to organise the coffee and doughnuts, CJ excuses himself to shut off the city's power source. You need access to the power source which is located at the dam and in order to get there, you need to jump down via parachute.
Hint: Unfortunately, you have to use the plane given to you in order to have things ready for you at the dam (so forget about by-passing all this and using a jet pack to get there.) Come with a silenced pistol or knife and armor. Stealth sneak and kill. Plant the bombs and get out. You will have a little wanted level, but when you jump in the water no one is really going to look for him. There are a few boats he can take to get to land faster. There is a save point nearby.
Reward: Respect.
Cop Wheels (difficulty 4/10)
In order to go by without too much suspicion, there is usually a police escort with the security van. They need to obtain some cop motorcycles which could be found all over the place, but no, you have to get four specific ones - two are unattended and two are being driven.
Hint: Be very familiar with the map and the bribe points. Go into this mission with a motorcycle to catch the first bike on the southeast part of town. A cop will be standing nearby. Grab it and run south past the first bribe location if you can't stand the heat and speed up along the highway to catch up with the truck, park it and hopefully you will be on the south part of town near the highway in the mid-section of the town going towards the airport. Find a fast car or motorcycle and go for the next bike which is being driven and bump into it until he gets off and steal it. Peel out of there going west and catch your truck from that nearest highway. Find a fast car or bike and fly to the nearest Pay N' Spray if you cannot stand the heat and head over towards the police station on the northeast side. A bike is unattended, hop on and head slightly south and then east to get to the highway. The truck should be nearby and park the bike. You might be running short on time, so find a bribe (there's one by the hotel train tracks up against the building near the parking lot) or just speed through cops coming at you. The last bike is being driven near the hotel with a guitar-shaped pool (where the oyster and horseshoe were located.) Bump it and make him get off and steal it. Head east until you find the highway and speed towards the truck. There is another bribe if you can jump your bike high enough along the highway (or if you didn't use it the first time, look for it near the first bike location).
This one may take a few attempts if you are not familiar with the map. Don't get too frustrated. High bike skills and low fat help.
Reward: Respect.
Up, Up, And Away (difficulty 4/10)
Tricky, but not impossible. You need a security van look alike. Steal one that looks similar which is located on the southeast part of town, but in order to do it, you need a Leviathan to pick it up and take it to the air strip. The Leviathan is at the very secure LGA depot. The guards will shoot you if you enter the property.
Hint: Full armor, Heat seeking missile, pistol, and the jet pack. Before you even start this mission, get your jet pack and park it right outside the door (don't save or else the jet pack will disappear.) Take the jet pack to the depot and dodge the missiles coming your way. Shoot as many guys on the helipad while you are flying towards them. Kill them all and then use your missile to take down the planes after CJ, just don't harm the Leviathan in the process. When they are all down, you can head south and find the vehicle. Use the stick to move the magnet up or down and grab it. Head for the base and land it in the marker and then land the plane.
Reward: Respect and a Leviathan without the magnetic power is at Verdant Meadows.
Breaking The Bank At Caligula's (difficulty 5/10)
Normally, you need to finish St Mark's Bistro in order to do this mission, however, I did play it a few times where I finished Breaking the Bank at Caligula's before St Mark's Bistro. I am still working out what I did to trigger it that way.
Tricky more than difficult and quite long, but not as long as the very last mission. There are a few stages to it which include getting in with the key card, making your way down while the power is out and letting your guys in. Then you will have to protect your team by shooting the security force from the casino as you go to the vault, cut the power again and then kill more guards as you make your way out. Your team is on their way with the loot and CJ is bait to help them get away. Go to the roof and kill all you see. There is a helicopter on a roof of another building, but more guards and cops are shooting at you blocking you from the parachute. Remove them and try to make it for the roof (if you can) and take the helicopter to the airstrip or if you miss the roof, take any vehicle and get there.
Hint: Armor, AK47, Heat Seeking Missile, sniper rifle. Don't cause too much attention to yourself going in the casino or they will be tipped off and you blow the mission. Take it easy and make your way downstairs. Drop tear gas in the vent to disable the guards. Use the night vision goggles to see when it gets dark. Go to the bottom level and find a forklift then drive it to the door and lift it up. Your team comes in and you need to protect them. Crouch and kill the enemies, but stay in front so you don't kill your team. Take them to the vault, but you will be notified someone is trying to turn on the generator. Go to that room, kill the guards and use either the heat seeking missile or the satchel charges or bring a grenade to blow them up. Meet the team at the vault and if you need it, pick up the armor. More guards come in and you lead the way. Crouch and kill while leading them to safety. They go one way, you go up to the roof. There are guards in the building who will shoot CJ, so crouch and kill. Go to the roof door and you will see all kinds of people after him. Kill them all and use the missile to take out the planes. Grab a parachute and use your sniper to kill the guards near the helicopter. Try to aim for the roof. If you miss, you will land on the ground and will most likely be followed by many cops. Find the nearest vehicle to get out of the area until you can find faster transport like a bike or get to a Pay N Spray. Go to the air strip and meet up with the gang who find out Zero leaked the word of the heist to his nemesis, Berkley.
Reward: $100,000 + Respect and a nasty call is to be expected.
And now back to the storyline missions. Those were the last of the side missions available.
You've Had Your Chips (difficulty 4/10)
CJ is playing a game Woozie always seems to win with the other guys, but for some reason CJ is beating him (keep track, the other guys always let him win, even if it means making CJ lose.) Anyway, news comes in and they are presented with two chips with a guy with sunglasses holding a stick. The Sindacco family is behind it and CJ is going to take care of the problem for him.
Hint: Full armor, shotgun or combat shotgun, and knowledge of the nearest fast food place and Ammu-Nation will help. I prefer the moltov cocktails, combat shotgun, sniper rifle, and any of the automatic weapons. Use the sniper at the front area before coming close and pick off the guys in the car. If you have moltov cocktails and are fireproof, run in throwing and killing everyone in sight or use the automatic weapon while crouching and kill them all. Blow up the machines with the shotgun and prepare to kill the ones behind you (with moltov cocktails, just lob them at the people.) Pick off the guy on the boxes with a sniper rifle and go to Red Dragons Casino.
If you run low on health and armor, there is a burger shot next door and an Ammu-Nation southwest a bit away. Run while you still have some health and load up then come back and finish the job.
Reward: $10,000 + Respect
Don Peyote (difficulty 2/10)
Step into the marker and Truth calls CJ to let him know about a wild night he had with fellow travelers who are lost in the desert mountains. These drunken British rockers are a handful, but they need to get to safety so CJ has to save them. Truth is at a Japanese bathhouse and can't do it.
Hint: Find a vehicle with four doors. A cabbie if you mod it with off-road wheels is perfect (if you passed the taxi missions, it will also have nitro.) Go to the area and pick them up. Enjoy the conversation as Maccer gets sick and Paul complains. If you pull over, he will do his business. If not, it will be a series of false alarms. You will go to the snake farm where they think the other guys are located and instead find some inbred family they have visited before and are not too happy to see them. Kill them all before they get in the vehicles and then take off with your guys to safety.
Reward: Respect. Well, at least you got to meet some interesting characters, including Ken Rosenberg from Vice City. Now you have a connection for Woozie to infiltrate Caligula's Casino.
Intensive Care (difficulty 2/10)
Remember Johnny, the guy CJ scared half to death on the hood of his car? What Woozie's guys did to him after the ride must have really messed him up. Anyway, he is supposed to be going home, but one of the other mob families have other plans to bump him off. This would set up a mob war and could easily get Ken killed in the process. Rosie needs CJ to take care of the situation and make sure he gets home safely, but the trick is to find him because when he gets to the hospital, he had already been taken away in an ambulance and there are several roaming around town. Find the right one (it will always be the last one you hit) before they leave the area, kidnap him and drive him safely to the meat packing plant.
Hint: High driving skills will really come in handy. Any machine gun and armor will be a must. When you get to the hospital, grab that big vehicle in the parking lot. Pull up the map and find the ambulances around town. Hit the ones closest to you by tapping them. As soon as you hit the first one, the one you are looking for will be alerted and you must be quick. Hit the next nearest one and then the last one will be it. Do a PIT maneuver into the back tire panel to make them stop. Crouch and shoot, be careful not to blow up the ambulance. Drive off to the meat packing plant, but watch out for family members driving after you.
Reward: $5000 + Respect. Shortly after this you will get a call to show up for work with Tenpenny. Personally, I prefer to get his out of the way (Misappropriation and High Noon) and get back to the rest of the Caligula infiltration missions.
Misappropriation (difficulty 3/10)
You are summoned to Tenpenny's cookout and are yet again harassed by the dynamic duo after Intensive Care. Your job is to grab the dossier held in protective federal custody that has some evidence they which to see (it shows who is the snitch). In order to get it, you need to find the location, pick off the guards and get that dossier. If you are not quick, you will have to chase it via helicopter and run him down.
Hint: There are two ways to go about it. You could do the obvious and confront them head on loaded with armor and an AK47, kill them and chase the other guy down via helicopter then kill him when he lands. That's easy enough, but takes time. Or take the back road with a sniper rifle and aim for the target's head, kill him and quickly run for the dossier before someone else takes off with it (and if you have a heat seeking missile, use it to take out both helicopters so no one can leave that route).
Alternative: Stop by the airstrip if you have the jet pack and the machine pistol. Fly over to the target and shoot him from above and snatch the dossier.
Reward: This is Tenpenny. You get nothing.
The Meat Business (difficulty 3/10)
Ken is high as a kite and as annoying and anxious as ever. He wants more control over the situation, but is in over his head. He asks CJ to take him over to the meat packing plant so he can visit Johnny. For some strange reason, CJ seems less than enthusiastic over the idea of seeing a man who is now conscious that he almost had killed. Johnny sees CJ and has a heart attack and dies on the spot. Gunfire breaks out in the all out war and CJ and Ken are caught in the middle. Get Ken out of there safely.
Hint: Armor, hitman level AK47, and if you are very careful and fireproof use the moltov cocktail. Crouch and shoot and be careful that Ken does not get caught in your crossfire (be especially careful if using the moltov cocktail). There is a hidden health and armor inside in case you get low. As long as you keep low, you should make it through.
Reward: $8000 + Respect
Fish In A Barrel (difficulty 0/10)
After you have finished all those missions for Woozie and helped Rosie and his friends, you will have the easiest mission ever. Show up and become part owner of the casino. That's it. Red Dragons Casino is not an asset, you get no money, but the honour of being partners with Woozie.
Freefall (difficulty 3/10)
There is a rival family trying to take out the Salvatore family head. CJ offers his services and volunteers to make sure they don't show up for work. He has to hijack their plane while it is still in the air and kill them all and return to safety.
Hint: Unlike the Dam and Blast mission, you don't have to worry about jumping at the right time when you reach the corona. It helps if you aim very much left or right of the plane coming towards you so you can circle around into the corona. Lots of practice with manual aim, good practice handling the Dodo (which I call the doo doo because it handles like, well, you know) and armor. Take the Dodo and fly north until you see the plane with a corona flying behind it. Quickly get behind it so you can fly through it and you will have a cut scene jump into the plane. Take cover and pick off the four guards, kill the pilot and fly the plane to the airport.
Reward: $15000 + Respect
You will get a call from Tenpenny to come back for another round.
High Noon (difficulty 4/10)
The snitch was under their nose the whole time, it was their cop buddy, Hernandez. They knock him out and Tenpenny orders them to bury him. He leaves CJ alone with Pulaski and CJ tries to convince him that it is only a matter of time until Tenpenny turns on him. Pulaski gets away and CJ now has to kill him.
Hint: Jet pack, armor, heat seeking missile (or rocket launcher). Of course you could take a motorcycle and have plenty of ammo to shoot at his car, but my way is easier. Park the jet pack where it won't disappear, like behind one of those huts by the graveyard. When Pulaski gets away, switch to your heat seeking missile and put on the jet pack. Race to the road where Pulaski will have a bit of trouble and be up against the mountain. Take off the jet pack, aim and he's history.
Reward: You get to kill officer Pulaski. You are done with Tenpenny until the last mission.
Madd Dogg (difficulty 2/10)
CJ should really shoot himself. Poor Madd Dogg lost everything to that slime OG Loc (thanks to CJ's help). Now he's a drunk and about to end it all. CJ sees him and tries to save him despite the crowd cheering Madd Dogg on to jump.
Hint: There is a truck nearby. Steal it and park in the marker. If parked correctly, Madd Dogg will land in the back. If not, he's dead. If you caught him, drive him carefully to the rehab center because he is too weak to take any more abuse from a rough car ride.
Reward: Respect. However, without a confession about his role in Madd Dogg's downfall and the bid to take over as his manager, it really makes CJ out to be quite a bastard.
If you have completed Tenpenny's assignments, Madd Dogg, everything for Rosie and Woozie, then you can start Saint Mark's Bistro and prepare to go back to Los Santos when finished. If you are going for 100%, now would be the best time to finish all the side missions you have not done, including the heist. The gang territories and wars will soon again be active and it might make things tricker if you are always having to defend your turf.
Saint Mark's Bistro (difficulty 2/10)
You did such a good job for Salvatore Leone that he wants you to take care of another problem. Take out a rival family in Liberty City. Sorry, no time for a tourist stop.
Hint: This involves lots of killing, so have armor and hitman level of whatever weapon you want to use (or make it easy if you are fireproof, use the moltov cocktail and lob them at everyone). Fly to Liberty City, enter St. Mark's Bistro and start shooting everyone.
Reward: $20000 + Respect. You get a call of praise from Salvatore (or one of scorn if you pulled the heist and if you didn't pull it, you will get a reminder call to finish it after you hear from Sweet). You get a call from Sweet who has given up and resigned himself to a life in prison.
Time To Get Ready To Go Home
Time to wrap up the story. CJ conquered all the new territories and has grown quite a bit for the experience, but Sweet is still in prison, Tenpenny seems to be getting away with murder, and the rival gangs think they own all of Los Santos. There is a lot of unfinished business and they need a new place to stay to accommodate all of CJ's new friends and launch Madd Dogg's renewed career.
A Home In The Hills (difficulty 5/10)
CJ, Kendl, Madd Dogg, and Woozie decide it's time to go back home, Madd Dogg's place seems to be big enough, but it had been taken over by a notorious drug dealer, Big Poppa. In order to return, CJ and the gang needs to reclaim his territory. Kendl, Cesar and Madd Dogg go off to safety while the team parachutes to the mansion (CJ can look around during the scene in the plane), kill everyone in sight and chase down Big Poppa.
Hint: Full health, armor, high driving skills, hitman level in whichever weapon you like best (doesn't really matter, but quick weapons like the SMG are my favourite.) Fall fast then open your parachute when everyone else does. If you land on the roof, aim for the cover of the HVAC vents and shoot everyone climbing the roof before the rest of the team makes it. When you enter the door, you will be greeted with more people shooting, so keep the weapons flowing fast and furious, crouch and aim all the way. There is a health icon in the kitchen on the bottom floor and armor in the middle bedroom if you need it. If you are fireproof, moltov cocktails work well inside. Once everyone inside is dead, you get in the car and chase down Big Poppa in a drive-by, slow him down with a PIT if you can catch up.
If you make it to the roof and have need of more weapons and armor after you are given the order to lead the team inside (make sure there are no other rivals shooting back first), you can go to the Ammu-Nation down the hill, eat something for health and cause general chaos without getting in trouble. You could have some fun and step inside the police station and shoot everyone without retaliation. Once in the house, you can't get out until you die oe chase Big Poppa.
Reward: Respect. CJ finally gets a call from Rosie who is now safe and offers him and the drunken Brits jobs.
Vertical Bird (difficulty 5/10)
CJ is starting to kick back in Madd Dogg's mansion while doing a recording. All of a sudden Toreno's voice comes over a speaker requesting his company. All CJ has to do now to secure his brother's freedom is steal a jet, wipe out all the hydra coming his way, and blow up some boats in the water before ditching the hydra so it won't tie into Toreno.
Hint: Armor, high flight skill, AK47 or Tech-9, Heat seeking launcher. They tell you to sneak on board the ship, but you will get caught sooner or later and there are only 7 guards on board who could harm CJ, so just get it over with, storm the ship and shoot everyone on sight until everyone is dead. Take the launcher and destroy two out of the three hydras (this means fewer hydras coming to get you in the sky). Fly the last one available and head north (once you get used to how it handles this is a breeze) while destroying the 2 jets coming after you. Destroy the boats near Sherman dam using the same target and shoot method to destroy the other jet. Then land the plane at the airstrip.
Reward: $50,000 The hydra now becomes available at the airstrip. And the best part, at Toreno's cabin you will have access to the heavy duty weapons (rocket launcher, heat seeking missile, flame thrower, and a really kick ass machine gun.)
Homecoming (difficulty 4/10)
Toreno is at the recording studio and tells CJ he has one last thing to do. CJ has had enough and is about ready to put a cap in his ass, but Toreno calms him down and instructs him to pick up the phone. It's Sweet who has miraculously been let out of prison. Toreno tells him to pick up his brother. That's the last you see of Toreno. When CJ arrives at the station to pick up Sweet, he tells his brother about the new mansion, the casino, the rap business, and getting him new clothes. Sweet isn't having any of it. The 'hood is where they are from and if things are a mess he needs to be there to fix it instead of running away from their home turf and trying to live larger than who they are...like Smoke. When they arrive home, some crack addict is trying to sell them their mother's possessions and Sweet orders CJ to start taking back his home and the hood by eliminating Ballas and crack dealers.
Hint: In essence, this is a gang war mission. Get armor and your favourite weapon (the minigun works quite well as does the moltov cocktail.) Kill the crack dealers on the block and then go for the Ballas. After the third wave you get your home back as an asset and the territories are reactivated.
Reward: Respect. You will get a call from Catalina pretending to talk to Claude to get CJ jealous. Just hang up on her. There will be two missions available, one for CJ and the other for Sweet. Just get the ones at the mansion out of the way first.
Cut Throat Business (difficulty 2/10)
At the recording studio, Maccer is still having problems controlling himself, even Margaret Thatcher gets him excited. Now that Madd Dogg is all cleaned up, he hoped it would be a breeze to get his career launched again, but it seems like no talent OG Loc is the big thing and he has noticed those rhymes he is busting belongs to him. It is up to CJ, as his manager, to take care of him. After all, he did team up with Smoke and got him to do terrible things to bring down Madd Dogg, it's only right for someone to pay, so long as it is not CJ who actually did all those things.
Hint: This is all about keeping up. No violence necessary. Just take it easy at a steady pace, no matter which vehicle you switch to in the chase and don't lose OG Loc. He will lead you to the studio where he works and will be exposed there.
Reward: Respect. OG Loc has now been put back in his place and Madd Dogg can take what is rightfully his. Now on to a Sweet mission.
Beat Down In B-Dup (difficulty 3/10)
The reality of the situation in the hood has made Sweet considering to doing coke, but CJ talks some sense into him and together they confront B-Dup who is no longer in the apartment across from the tracks, but is now in the heart of Ballas territory with Smoke as his boss. All you have to do is start a gang war to smoke him out.
Hint: Come in with armor and hitman level on whichever gun you want to use. Recruit gang members if you want, but they do tend to get in the way. I try to purposely leave Sweet behind so he does not get caught in the crossfire. Between waves, you will find health and armor icons. Use them when needed. You can also excuse yourself and go to Ammu-Nations as long as you make it quick. After you find a group of Ballas in the park, shoot them to start a war. Kill off three waves, kill the gang members outside the house and confront B-Dup while saving Big Bear from a life of slavery.
Reward: Respect.
Grove 4 Life (difficulty 4/10)
CJ walks in on Sweet talking with the other gang members about getting the hood back to where it belongs. CJ thinks they should lay low because he has other commitments. Sweet talks to him in private and tries to explain that the 'hood is where he was born and where he will probably die and it is their responsibility to make sure things are made right there first. CJ tries to tell Sweet that the world is a lot bigger than the 'hood and there are more things going on than he can imagine, but Sweet doesn't care for CJ's attitude which is all about glory for CJ, to hell with everyone else. It's time to make things right now.
Hint: This is a typical gang war mission. Go into the purple area and start a war with Sweet and if you are smart, with gang recruits to let them take the hits. Come in with hitman level on your weapon and full armor/health. Start with the northeast corner right after you pass under the overpass. There is a house where CJ can climb the roof. Try to start a fight there so you can shoot the rivals from the roof. When that's over, move towards the gas station which CJ can easily climb and do the same thing. When the you have finished enough territory takeovers (sometimes 2, sometimes 3) take Sweet back home.
Reward: $10,000 + Respect.
Riot (difficulty 1/10)
This is the last mission at the mansion and it appears the trial of the century did not go over too well. Although Pulaski has disappeared and no one knows why, Tenpenny was still made to stand trial and was let off. This has launched all of Los Santos into a riot situation and it is up to CJ and Sweet to keep things under control back at home.
Hint: There is nothing really to it. After the announcement and comments on Maccer's problem, you are driving Sweet back to the hood whilst avoiding the rioters and burning cars.
Reward: Nothing.
Los Desperados (difficulty 4/10)
Sweet is burning into CJ about his responsibilities towards his family and the hood and how it is not just about himself. It is about time CJ realize he has his share to carry. Then Cesar barges in and begs for help because his hood is under attack and he needs CJ now. CJ clears the air with Sweet and goes off with Cesar who also asks him to help talk to Sweet about marrying Kendl.
Hint: A gang war of sorts. You recruit two gang members to come with you. Make sure you are hitman level with your weapon and full armor/health. Take a four-door car that is not on fire, it helps if you have one saved in CJ's garage because cars not on fire will be hard to find. Drive along the train tracks going south to head for the mission and avoid the traffic and rioters. When you meet up with Cesar's gang, crouch and shoot. Then the next bit will take you to an alley, more crouch and shoot. When the alley is cleared, you head towards the street where you take out the guy on the roof and crouch and shoot. It's all over.
Reward: Respect. Hopefully you will already have 35% of the territories taken over. If you do, you will get the call from Sweet that they have found where Big Smoke is hiding. If not, Sweet will call and tell you the need to make your gang more powerful so you can get co-operation, so take over more territory until you get the call Smoke has been found.
End Of The Line (difficulty 5/10)
All of your main storylines are coming to an end. You have at least 35% of the gang territories under control. Now comes a call from Sweet telling you he knows where Smoke is hiding and it is time to take care of him. In a moment of clarity, CJ finally gets it. Those he used to call his homies stabbed his family in the back. His family is what really mattered and on behalf of his mom, Brian, and Sweet, CJ offers to confront Smoke on his own...and then there is the final run in with Tenpenny.
Hint: LONG!!! Boy do I hope you are fireproof, have high driving skills, armor and health maxed, and lots of ammo including a moltov cocktail supply and if not fireproof lots of fire extinguishers. If not, do a fire fighting mission and do the prep work. Even in a riot, it would be a lot easier than getting through this one without being fireproof and having everything you need. Have a hitman level on whichever weapon you decide to take in with you and crouch while going through the building. If you have plenty of moltov cocktails and can throw them, it might be an easy way to get through the building. Anyway, you will be just outside the building where Smoke is hiding. You need a heavy vehicle to break down the wall and there happens to be one a few streets down. There is a house close by where CJ can climb up. Use a sniper rifle to take out the police and the Ballas who are in a gun battle. When you hit them all, steal the water tank and drive to the building and ram it (or if you want to see this vehicle again, drive it to a save location with a big garage like the airstrip and fail the mission then save the game).
Once in the building, Ballas will come to attack. Run them over until they are all dead. Get out the vehicle and have your weapon of choice ready before you enter the door. There are three floors to go through in the building. At the landing of each floor is a small room with a gang member on guard. It happens to have armor in case you need it. On each level, there is a room with an extra health icon in case you need it. Crouch and kill all the way up. There will be plenty coming at you (Ballas, Vargos, and cops), including a water tank that breaks through a wall on the first level with more guys coming to shoot at CJ. Kill them all and run through to get towards the next floor. Go up the stairs and repeat it. Go up the final set of stairs and you will find the executive floor where you will have more gang members, including Mafia shooting at CJ. There are two rooms which have a Mafia goon and a stripper. One has a health icon and the other armor. Kill off all the people and make your way to the stairs going up where Smoke is hiding.
He was expecting CJ, but doesn't really care as he is pretty high, playing video games and wearing armor. He is ready to take his dog out. Moltov cocktails really come in handy for this one. If you lob enough at him quickly, he doesn't do the long chase up and down the stairs where you have gang members coming out to get you in the dark. He will be lucky to make it to the stairs the first time around. Without the moltov cocktails, it is another crouch and shoot. When you finally kill Smoke you find out he did it so everyone would always remember him. Then out of nowhere you are approached by Tenpenny who demands the case full of money. Officers are getting killed all over town and he has plans to leave and has a fire truck waiting to take him away as well as some rookie officers assisting him. As Tenpenny tries to kill CJ, he tricks him by yelling out to Sweet as if he were behind him and ducks. Tenpenny storms off and starts to destroy the building by starting a fire. CJ is trapped and there is armor and a health icon as well as night vision goggles. If you need it, put on the goggles, but I find it easier to see without them. On the way down, you will face the same scenario on the way up, but this time everything is on fire and there are fire extinguishers to help you. Kill everyone in sight and get out in less than six minutes (plenty of time if fireproof.)
As you reach the door to go outside, more gangs are waiting to shoot at CJ. Take them out and head for the hole in the wall followed by a cut scene and a neat explosion, but it's not over yet.
Sweet notices Tenpenny is getting away. He can't even wait for CJ to get in the car and hops on the ladder of the fire truck. Have CJ get in the car and follow closely, but do not ram it as it could make Sweet get killed. Don't even bother trying to shoot anyone, just drive and avoid the gang members through moltov cocktails at you (don't worry, it won't hurt the car, just make it harder to see). Keep up with them until you get towards the beach. Sweet is about ready to fall off and you need to catch him with the car. You have a limited time, so make sure you are really close so he can jump in your car from the back of the truck. If he falls on the street, you fail the mission.
With Sweet in the car, he will do the driving and you will do the shooting. All the cops and gangs on Tenpenny's side are after you and your car has a certain lifespan. Kill them all before they destroy the car (just like Just Business and Reuniting The Families). Eventually, you will get in your neighborhood where Tenpenny will meet his end.
The real gang is all at CJ's house, Sweet, Kendl, Cesar, Truth, Maccer, Paul, Ken, and Madd Dogg celebrating the victories. CJ wants to take a break while everyone is arguing what needs to be done next and excuses himself to check out the area.
Reward: Respect +$250,000 for completion of all missions and the credits start rolling. Then a final call from that crazy Catalina.
